Leadership

background

Are you in a leadership position and facing challenges?

Do you need a fresh perspective and guidance in navigating these challenges?

With over 20 years of corporate experience in multinationals with the likes of Arthur Andersen, Citibank, and PwC I am ready to help and guide you through these challenges.

Leaders, much like athletes, can greatly benefit from coaching. Coaching has the power to reveal any blind spots, enhance leadership skills, and bring about behavioral changes that can directly affect business outcomes. Executive leadership coaching serves as a valuable tool in supporting and developing leaders, particularly during times of role transitions, when faced with new challenges, or while preparing to assume greater responsibilities.

Leadership Coaching: A Path to Effective Leadership

Some of the areas covered in leadership coaching (but not limited to) are as follows:

Leadership coaching primarily encompasses:

  • Goal Definition: Involves identifying the leader’s strengths, areas for improvement and setting clear objectives.
  •  Assessment: Facilitates tests to understand the leader’s behavior, communication, and leadership style.
  • Learning and Development: A custom development plan is created to learn new skills and unlearn unproductive behaviors.
  • Feedback and Reflection: Regular feedback and self-reflection sessions are conducted to monitor progress.
  • Sustainability: The coach helps the leader maintain changes by embedding new behaviors into daily routines.

What does the process look like ?

The leadership coaching process typically follows these steps:

  1. Initial Meeting: This is a session where the coach, leader (and sometimes other stakeholders) meet to discuss expectations, confidentiality issues, and to establish a working relationship.
  2. Assessment: After identifying the coaching goals, the coach will use various tools to assess the leader’s current situation.
  3. Development Plan: Based on the assessment results, specific actions are identified to help the leader reach their goals. This might include reading materials, training sessions or practical assignments.
  4. Coaching Sessions: Regular coaching sessions are scheduled. During these sessions, the coach supports the leader in their learning journey by providing feedback, challenging assumptions, and helping them explore different perspectives.
  5. Progress Review: Periodically, progress towards the goals is reviewed and adjustments are made as necessary.
